Amaltheia Organic Dairy: Sustainable & Award-Winning Goat Cheese
Amaltheia Organic Dairy is a family-run, certified organic farm based in Belgrade, just outside Bozeman, Montana. Founded in 2000 by Melvyn and Sue Brown, the farm has become a leader in sustainable agriculture, producing a variety of award-winning goat cheeses and other organic products. The company is deeply committed to being a zero-emissions farm, and their sustainable practices have been recognized with EcoStar Awards.

Sustainable Farming Practices
Amaltheia Organic Dairy is committed to using all by-products of their operations to foster a sustainable, self-sufficient farm.

Zero-Waste Approach: They convert goat manure into high-quality compost, which is used to enrich the soil for their organic vegetable crops.
Whey-Fed Hogs: The whey, a by-product of their cheesemaking, is used to feed their pasture-raised, organic hogs.
Real Organic Project Certified: The dairy is certified by the Real Organic Project (ROP), an add-on certification that distinguishes organic farms with high-integrity practices.

Artisan Goat Cheese and Products
Amaltheia offers a range of high-quality goat cheeses and other farm products.

Cheeses: Their award-winning lineup includes Chèvre (plain and flavored, such as Sun-Dried Tomato, Roasted Garlic & Chive, and Spiced Pepper), Feta, and Ricotta.
Pork and Produce: As part of their zero-waste initiative, they also sell organic, whey-fed pork and a wide variety of organic vegetables.
Other Products: They also offer organic goat milk lotions.
